Cultural geographer, performer, and author Dr. Carolyn Finney. Dr. Finney’s book, Black Faces, White Spaces: Reimagining the Relationship of African Americans to the Great Outdoors examines the representation, participation, and history of African Americans in U.S. parks and public lands.
