About

Gail Sandlin is an instructor and Academic Liaison for College of the Environment Extensions. She teaches courses in U.S. and International Environmental Policy, Environmental Politics, and Introduction to Planning.

Sandlin has taught numerous courses for Western Washington University's College of the Environment, University of Washington-Seattle and University of Washington-Tacoma with an emphasis on environmental studies, planning and transportation. Sandlin is a Ph.D. candidate in Urban Design and Planning at the University of Washington and an Environmental Scientist at the Department of Ecology.

Research Interests

As a recipient of the U.S. EPA STAR doctoral fellowship, Sandlin's research focus has been the nexus of air quality, transportation systems and land use planning within the context of environmental equity.
