Senior Project Report Instructions

The College of the Environment now requires that all Senior Project Reports be submitted in a digital (PDF) format. Completed reports are available through WWU Library's Western CEDAR along with the College of the Environment student Internship Reports. Students are required to create a digital signature page to be included in the .pdf file, as outlined below.

Student/Faculty Steps for SENIOR PROJECT REPORTS

  1. Student completes a Senior Project Contract (with Faculty advisor)

  2. Student completes their senior project (per their Senior Project Contract)

  3. Student completes written Senior Project Report (with Faculty advising)

  4. Student create and print a Cover/Disclaimer/Signature Page

  5. Student signs Cover/Disclaimer/Signature Page

  6. Faculty signs Cover/Disclaimer/Signature Page

  7. Student scans Cover/Disclaimer/Signature Page (w/student and faculty signatures)

  8. Student adds scanned Cover/Disclaimer/Signature page (as a graphic) to their report

  9. Cover/Disclaimer/Signature should be the first page of their Project Report

  10. Student saves the entire document as a .pdf file
    Naming convention: Year_Student’sLastName_Agency/location_Topic (e.g. 2009_Einstein_DOE_UnifiedTheory or 2010_Thoreau_WaldonPond_SimpleLiving)

  11. Student delivers digital .pdf file (with scanned signature page) to instructor

  12. Instructor reads/approves/accepts final Senior Project Report

  13. Instructor forwards the completed/approved project report to the CENV Internship Program Advisor.

  14. Staff transfers file to WWU Western CEDAR.
