Biography

Major: B.S. Environmental Science - Marine Science Emphasis

The photos below are from my work on the internship with the North Cascade Institute as a Snow Algae Instructor and sample collector. I worked with them starting in January, and sadly due to the ski area closing early this season we had to end the Snow School early. My main job was teaching kids about snow algae, connecting them to their environment and collecting samples of snow algae for Dr. Kodner's Snow Algae Lab. I am thankful to the Huxley College for the many opportunities, like this one, that have taught me the importance of community, conservation of the environment and how to collect samples in all sorts of weather scenarios, preparing me for my career.
